Equality & Diversity Discussion Forum from Action Housing on Vimeo.

On 16 August 2007, Action joined up with colleagues from across Yorkshire, the Midlands and beyond to begin the process of working in partnership to raise standards in equality and diversity.

The discussion covered a range of subjects, including; 

• Developing effective and usable Equality Impact Assessments,

• Keeping the issue of equality & diversity at the top of our organisational agendas,

• Providing the necessary resources for staff to better engage with a diverse range of communities, ensuring all groups are able to benefit from our vital support services.

With Professor Richard Tomlins on hand to facilitate discussion, the group agreed to meet on a quarterly basis, to compare notes, share resources and find ways of working together to improve standards across the sector.
