First HOPE property ready for Apprentices to begin work.

We have been busy working with Rotherham MBC to identify and begin work on an empty house that blights the neighbourhood it is in. We now are in a position where the property hase been made safe for Apprentices to commence work. Young people from our services and from Rotherham College of Art and Technology will join forces to bring the dilapidated property back into use. It will then become a home for someone and end the anti social behaviour it attracted to the neighbourhood.

Action Apprentices do a great job in Derby!

Apprentices from the Derby project volunteered to decorate St Andrews House, the new substance misuse services building in Derby. They found the experience great and did a good job too!
Lee said, “the programme has given me little things that are missing out of my life to help me move forward as a person…I’m not just stuck in my flat anymore..my communication skills are better..it’s helped me a lot..”
All those who completed the whole project are being given a reference from the NHS and are now looking to start an employability qualification being put on by Derby College. We’re looking for our next opportunity in the city, so let us know your ideas
